Nivea post shaving balm is commonly used by men after shaving to calm down the skin. Post shaving balm is now widely used by many make up lovers as a primer. Why do we use this as a primer ? Simply because it contains glycerin, glycerin is one of the main agents used in primers which provides us with a smooth and even base to apply our foundation. Here's a list of benefits:
 I myself decided to test it out and see what all the fuss was about I gently applied it to my face before I applied my foundation bare in mind I didn't apply any moisturiser before hand.The one thing that I find annoying is when you go to dispense the product is that it comes out really fast so it's hard to control the amount that comes out. The product itself is quite light and runny.  I let the product soak into my skin for about 5 minutes until it was dry,I could immediately feel it cooling my skin I did notice any redness on my skin that I may of had died down. I took my beauty blender and applied my foundation in dotting motions and blended it all out. I couldn't believe how my foundation looked seamless and flawless. It didn't stick to any dry areas on my skin normally I have difficulty with my foundation staying on place on my nose but it stayed in place. I did notice through out the day that my foundation came off around my chin in particular I'm not too sure as why. The scent of the product is quite masculine but it didn't turn me off from using it.  I would have to give it an 9/10 it didn't stick to any dry areas on my skin and I have quite dry skin so this was a big plus for me and the foundation looked flawless and seamless. I picked the post shaving balm up in Cara pharmacy it was reduced from €6.18 to €4.30.
