Having a skincare routine is really important as your skin is the perfect canvas for applying your makeup. I recently, purchased a few items from dermalogica for both personal use and for my kit, the dermalogica range of products came highly recommended by Caitriona from the beauty spot salon which is located on the main street in Carrick, Caitriona has a strong knowledge of all things skincare as she recently received the expert status with dermalogica both her and Fiona are trained by dermalogica, if you have any skincare queries both Caitriona and Fiona can provide you with a skin consultation to see which dermalogica products are suitable for your skin, here are the products I purchased.

  • Daily microfoliant - a daily exfoliator designed for those of us who have sensitive dry skin and is gentle on the skin, mix water with the powder to create a creamy texture and apply in circular motions.
  • Pre-cleanse balm - deep cleansing balm which removes any impurities that are present on the skin. If you are like me and would wear makeup a good bit then I would advise you to use the balm along with your cleanser to double cleanse which ensures all traces of makeup is removed from the skin.
  • Ultra calming cleanser - is designed for those of us who suffer from redness or sensitivity on the skin as it instantly cools the skin, you can rinse the product off With water or with a wipe.
  • Multi-active toner - a light hydrating primer which refreshes the skin, apply after cleansing your skin as it prepares your skin for applying your moisturiser
  • Active moist - I suffer from dehydrated skin and I found the active moist moisturiser instantly hydrates my skin leaving it softer and smoother.
  • Soothing eye makeup remover - when it comes to eye makeup remover you have to be really particular as some removers can be rather harsh around your eyes, I found the eye makeup remover instantly removed any traces of makeup that was present on my eyelid. It felt gentle and soothing once applied, I was pleasantly surprised it removed all traces of my mascara!

I have been using these products now for a few weeks, I’ve noticed a vast difference in how my skin feels and looks, dermalogica had a fantastic offer once you spent over €60 on the range you received a "summer glow essential kit" which includes Phyto replenish oil which is a beautiful hydrating treatment I mix this in with my moisturiser which creates a great base before applying my foundation it smells amazing the kit also includes cleansing brush and a special cleansing gel. If you are looking to improve your skincare then I would advise calling into the salon both Caitriona and Fiona will be able to help with all your skincare needs by providing you with a skin consultation. I can't fault the dermalogica range, when it comes to skincare I would always opt for spending that bit extra. Trust me you will fall in love with the dermalogica range, I know I did after I had received a facial by Caitriona in her salon(beautyspot) which you can read my review here: https://www.queenbeeie.com/blog/my-facial-is-better-than-yours

Until Next Time Bee's,
