Hey YOU! I feel like it has been a while since I sat down and wrote a blog post but don’t fret I’m back today with a review for you guys, if you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll know I’ve been trying out LA Girl pro. coverage HD long wearing illuminating foundation, LA girl cosmetics have been a huge success amongst bloggers and makeup artists I’ve heard such positive things about their products especially their concealer so once I seen that Inish pharmacy stock the range I thought I would purchase the foundation and put it to the test I’ve been trying out now for a couple of weeks not days, weeks, I have tried applying it to my skin with different techniques and different base products to see how it lasts so keep reading to find out what I thought. For me I have quite dry skin so since the LA Girl Pro.Coverage HD long wearing illuminating foundation clearly states that it's illuminating and its water based so this foundation is going to instantly suit my skin type and a great factor as well is that its HD which means when you go to take a photograph you will receive no flashback. So I picked up the foundations in two shades nude beige which will suit those of a darker skin tone and the other shade I selected was white, do you know why I selected both a dark and a white foundation? So I can mix the foundation to suit various skin tones. I actually do think the white shade is an excellent shade to have to range because you can mix to lighten other foundations that you may have suit your skin tone. Before I even go to apply the foundation I like to prep my skin by cleansing, moisturising and then applying my primer maybelline baby skin primer as I find it works best for me it creates a smooth base I recently began colour correcting using a green colour corrector to cancel any redness on my skin,When applying the foundation I would generally use my F20 flat top buffer brush for blending out my foundation and those of you who have been following me for some time now know I’m a huge fan of blank canvas F20 brushes! I like to buff the foundation into my skin in circular motions and then I may go in with my beauty blender to blend the foundation out further or in areas that my brush can’t get into. Once I was satisfied that I had my foundation evenly blended I noticed that it was a little bit too dewy for my liking around my cheeks and forehead so I would then use a banana setting powder from Primark this just toned down the dewiness and helps keep the foundation in place for longer. I was wearing this foundation for at least 8+ hours its meant to be long-lasting and has medium to full coverage, if you like full coverage then I would advise you apply at least two layers I personally don’t find it heavy on the skin its quite lightweight it would be perfect for warmer weather if you are on holidays it will give you that nice dewy glow. I think the foundation does rub off easily especially around the mouth and nose area personally I think this is a great drugstore foundation the shade range is just a bit off for the Irish market I personally think they seem to have darker tones but I bought the whitener and I did find I was able to mix it and match it up with my skin tone. I would honestly would buy the foundation again for sure I hope they add more variety in their shade range,Fingers crossed.
