Hey Bee’s, I have made it to the BIG APPLE, I thought I would share what I've gotten up on my first two days here in New York City!! I actually didn't think I would be as tired as I am, the trip is pretty short only 4 days........ we probably should have booked it for so much longer but we have seen quite a bit of the city this past few days so here is a peek of what we got up to!! We are staying in the Hilton Midtown on 6th Avenue - The Avenue Of The Americas which is pretty central and is surrounded in fun things to do. Overall I'm really impressed with the hotel as it has all the correct amenities on hand such as a little restaurant/shop, a travel, entertainment and tourism desk and a small but ideal souvenir shop. The staff are really friendly so if your stuck and are staying in the Hilton Midtown don't be afraid to ask questions because they even have a list made out with restaurant recommendations ranged from expensive, moderate and inexpensive. Oh the only thing I can fault is that they don't have a kettle in the room to make tea and you all know how us Irish people love our good cuppa morning noon and night! Our very first day exploring the city the weather was not the best It rained all day and we got absolutely soaked so that put a downer on things but we managed to make it to times square and check out some of the shops on our way, we stopped at century 21 store which I recommend that check that out if you ever visit! I purchased a new handbag which ill probably include in my New York haul!! ![]() On the second day we met up with my sisters friend from New Jersey which was quite an eventful day. We visited the Rockefeller centre the view from the top of the rock is incredible it literally is like something out of a movie it’s really surreal! We also went around some of the shops on fifth avenue ,Later on we attended the musical kinky boots on broadway which for me was a pinch me moment since I was little I always wanted to attend a broadway show if you ever want to see a broadway musical then I strongly recommend kinky boots the cast are unbelievable and the talent that they all have!! In the evening we went out for dinner to an Italian restaurant which was a 4 minute walk from our hotel its called Pazza Notte the food was yummy! I had the penne carbonara which was delicious. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed my trip to New York, travelling to the airport from where I live was an adventure in itself! I would've liked to have stayed longer and payed a visit to a different region of America but now I know for sure another American trip will hopefully be on the cards for the future. I enjoyed the experience and will never forget the views, landscape and never ending blaring wailing sounds of sirens or cars from am to pm. Be sure to pack some comfortable clothing such as shoes and plenty of suncream if hitting the apple during the sunny season, thats it for now Bee's I will be back again with a follow up post on my Sephora, Inglot and many other hauls. I would lastly like to leave you with three fun holiday tips: 1). Pack lightly you will never know how much suitcase room is needed when your splashing some cash!! 2). COMFY, COMFY, COMFY, be prepared to walk to soak in the true experience. 3). Take plenty of photos, they last a lifetime and provide you with those delicate and exciting memories you shared with loved ones.
