Hey Bees In today's blog I decided I'm going to give you a step to step guide on how to apply foundation to that pretty little face of yours !! so here we go . The right shade ? we all have the difficulty on finding the right shade of foundation you know where you pick up the wrong shade of foundation yes you do know don't lie we have all done it so I'm going to give you a tip on finding the right one for you when you are making the purchase of foundation always test it out on your hand or an even better area to do it is on your jawline make sure its in day light though if the colour is right for you it should disappear with out the need of blending it another little tip if you can't splurge out on a more expensive foundations at a department store don't be afraid to you up to the beauty adviser and ask them what shade would suit your skin tone and try it out here's another little sneaky tip ask them for a sample to take home so you can bring it to the drug store to find your closest look ! Prep your skin ! For the prefect canvas you need to make sure your skin is clean and well moisturized make sure you wait a good 5 minutes before applying your foundation to let your moisturizer soak into your pores . Primmer I use primmer from time to time but its really up to yourself if you want to use it the best thing about primmer is if you need a look to last all night then apply it before your foundation it will help minimize pores and enhance the foundation a little tip if you are having a lazy day then just apply primmer to your face to give you a smoother complexion . Applying your foundation !!! when applying your foundation I strongly recommend you purchase a beauty blender even if you don't want to splurge out on one w7 cosmetics have dupes " Power Puff face blender " they only cost around 3.00 euro and they do just as good they are available in a wide range of colours they just leave the right amount on your skin after you buy them they become your best friend , before you apply your foundation to the beauty blender soak the beauty blender in water it doubles in size and it helps even out the foundation better . Apply the foundation to your beauty blender dab the foundation only in areas that you need it to cover up any redness in then skin or to help even out your t-zone to get a nice even finish blend in the foundation all over always start in the middle and work your way out one thing I'm going to say is don't pile on the foundation on to your face less is more . Concealer By applying concealer after your foundation you will use a lot less and what ever you do don't put on a shade way to light than your skin colour it will just come off as fake looking always use a shade slightly lighter than your skin colour make sure its only one shade lighter not two or three shades lighter it just wont work !! use a small pointed brush to apply your concealer in a triangle under neath your eye to cover up any darkness and blend in if you have any other areas of redness that the foundation didn't cover then pick you your small pointed brush and apply your concealer those areas of your skin . Powder Last but not least apply a foundation powder all over your face to help make the foundation last longer and don't for get to blend it really in with your big blender brush !!! there you have a little guide to apply foundation I hope you all found this useful !! please comment I want to hear from you !! xxxx QUEEN B

A great way to plump up dem lips Xxxx Queen B. Hey bees !! We all have the issue of finding the right make up brushes am I right ? Well I'm going to give a review on the make up brushes that I recently purchased. I recently purchased cara pharmacys 12 piece make up brush set it comes in a cute little case which is available in two colours pink and black I went for the pink ! I ordered the set online as it wasn't available in the local pharmacy when I got it in the post the package contained samples which I thought was a lovely gesture. Here's a list of what it contains A flat foundation brush - which is excellent for liquid or compact foundation Stippler brush - which is for blending out your foundation wither it's liquid or compact foundation it really does the job Large blush brush - which is really good for contouring with bronzer you never know when you need that summer glow right ? Kabuki Foundation/powder brush -for contouring with foundation or powder Wide bristle eyeshadow brush - which is really good for applying your eyeshadow a little tip when applying your eyeshadow is to always tap the brush on the edge of the pallet to remove any excess eyeshadow that's on your brush Concealer brush Angeled eyeliner brush - which is great for gel eyeliner application I find this brush really good for applying my eyeliner Larger powder brush Lip brush Small compact bristle eyeshadow brush Round kabuki eyeshadow brush - which I excelled for blending out your eyeshadow there is nothing worse than not having your eyeshadow blended out Pointed kabuki eyeshadow & blender brush - I have to admit this was my favourite brush I've always have had dig fully for finding a good brush to get at the inner of my eye and under the eye and this brush really does the job it's great when you want to create a smokey eye I love these brushes they are great for someone who is just starting off they are really affordable they cost €29.50 which I think it's great value for money you don't want to fork out €50 euro for a brush set that is of the same quality the brushes are really soft on the skin and apply great coverages the only is sure I have is that I find the brushes a bit to big they can be found online at www.carapharmacy.ie and they can be found at your local cara pharmacy , in case you are wondering what a Kabuki brush is to be honest I didn't really understand myself what they were until I bought the set Kabuki is a brush were hairs are tightly packed together and dense which is great for blending I guess you learn something knew everyday huh ? These brushes they are excellent for someone who is only starting off and gaining a interest in makeup ! If you have any more enquires don't hesitate to message me ! |
