Halloween is creeping up on us. The other day I was coming up with ideas for our annual family Halloween party and I came across chocolate witch hats so I thought I would share with you guys the recipe on how to do it. They look and taste yummy !! Like who doesn't like chocolate !! What you will need ... 1/2 cup of chopped chocolate 1/3 cup of cream 12 pointy ice cream cones 12 round thin cookies 2 cups of melted chocolate(cooking chocolate) What to do ....... (1) Make The Chocolate Ganache The first thing we need is to make our filling for our hats so do to this we must pour the cream into a saucepan make sure the cooker is set at a high to medium heat and then let it simmer. Pour the hot cream all over the chopped chocolate and gently whisk until the chocolate melts until the mixture is smooth. Once that is done place your mixture(ganache) in the fridge and cover with cling wrap leave for an hour. (2) Prep The Witch hats While your waiting on your ganache to cool its the prefect opportunity for you to prep you cones. You need to cut the cones in half we only need the top part of the cone use a knife to cut it and cut it slowly so that it doesn't break. (3) Fill the witches hats Once the ganache has cooled and is like a peanut butter texture you can place it in the inside of the cone using a piping bag. Overfill the cones so that there is extra coming out of the top as it will allow the cone to stick to the cookie. once you filled all the cones place them in the fridge and leave for another hour. (4) Coating For the coating you need to melt cooking chocolate you can do this by placing a glass bowl over a hot saucepan of boiling water and allow the chocolate to slowly melt. Once you have the chocolate melted you can then coat the cones to do this you can dip the cones into the chocolate or you can use a spoon to cover the cones in chocolate.once you have coated all of the witches hats you can leave them to cool for about 15 minutes in the fridge. (5) Decorate Once the witches hats are cool you can decorate them how ever you like. once you have them decorated they are ready to eat !! I hope you enjoyed this little blog post bees !! This week I will be hoping to continue doing more posts based on Halloween. Until next time Bees - Queen B . How To Find your prefect brow shape
Eyebrows are all people seem to talk about lately and it's always the topic of conversation. Did you know that brows have different trends just like fashion ? A few years ago the thin and over tweezed eyebrows was all the trend but now it's all about fuller and bold eyebrows and not everyone is lucky enough to have this. But my little bees don't hesitate because guess who is going to tell you how to get the prefect brow shape just to suit you ? Any guesses any one ?? You guessed right me !! Start & End ..... Place your tweezers along the side of your nose the tweezers should be in align with the bridge of your nose. After you do this you can pluck any hairs that are in between your brows don't over pluck as you can make your eyebrows look far apart. To pinpoint the end of your brows hold up the tweezers at the corner of your eye once the tweezers are in place you will be able to distinguish the end of your brow based on your tweezers reaching your brow bone. Not everyone's brows will end at that point some extend on past it. You don't want to over pluck the end of your brows you just want to remove any hairs that are out of place. Define the arch To define the arch you need a white eyeliner pencil once you have your liner draw a line following the arch of your brow below your brow. By doing this it will allow you to see any hairs that are out of place and you will be able to tweeze the hairs. Another option is to trip them brush your brows upwards using a spooly and trim any hairs that are longer than your brow shape. Sculpting your brows To get your bows on fleek ! Yes I said fleek don't ask me why, okay ....swiftly moving on. If you are someone who likes more of a natural looking brow then gels are your bff. Clear gels can keep your brows sculpted and in place all day long and you don't need to even fill them in. If you have sparse brows I recommend that you try out eyebrow pencils or powders. W7 have a set called" brow parlour " it contains two powders one dark and light and wax to hold your brows in place and it only costs around €4 mark its really good. A eyebrow pencil that I recently purchased was by clarins in the shade light brown. I will add in a picture below of it. When filling in your brows its best to keep it natural, you can fill in the arches of your brows by using a pencil/powder when doing so use strokes to mimic your actual hair as you don't want to over fill your brows. You can repeat the same step and follow your brows out to the end but be careful not to go past the end of your brow its best to do longer strokes when your getting closer to the end of your brow. Once you have filled in your Arch and the end of your brow you can now start to fill in the start of your brow make sure to create small strokes you don't need to fill in this area too much make sure to mimic your hairs. Once your done use a spooly to blend out your brows it creates a natural look. I hope you all liked this blog update, if you have any questions don't be afraid to message me. If you would like me to do more posts like this please comment below. Until next time bees, - Queen B. My top 5 Autumn Lipsticks
Yes its autumn so it's time for my top 5 autumn lipsticks and guess what they are all dark shades because my love for dark lipsticks. Each of these shades are bang on trend at the moment. (1) Mac Cyber This is one of the darkest lipsticks I have ever seen I tend to get weird looks when I'm wearing it but I don't care it really has a fascinating deep red/purple black colour it 100% stands out from any of my other shades of lipsticks. It really suits the goth-chic trend that's in right now for autumn. When you where this lipstick it really is a statement on its on it looks great either with a smokey eye or with natural eyeshadow colour such as Browns and nudes. (2) Mac Dark side When shopping online on brown Thomas I eyed this shade up but to me personally I thought it would be a lot more darker and have a bit of an edge to it just basically because of its name but it's more of a burgundy/plum this lipstick is highly pigmented and has an amplified Creme formula that makes it comfortable to wear but the only issue is that it smudges quite easily. The reason why I selected this shade as one of my 5 is because this colour is prefect for Halloween if your dressing up as a vampire it has those subtle red tones to it and it does stand out. (3) Nyx violet Ray rayon violet I absolutely adore this shade ,it has such a unique shade ,its a combination between burgundy and purple. It's highly pigmented and comfortable to wear. One thing is this shade is prefect for someone who loves dramatic purple shades of lipsticks. I just think it's the prefect shade for autumn. (4) Mac media This shade of lipstick is slightly redder than mac cyber it is blackened red with a slight purple tinge to it. If your into darker shades like myself then this shade is for you. It is comfortable to wear but I recommend that you apply lip liner all over you lips to give it that edge the liner will also allow it to last longer. (5) Rimmel London coffee shimmer Okay this shade isn't like the other it's not crazy dark it's a brick based brown with a hint of shimmer. I think it's a prefect nude shade for autumn it compliments my skin tone great. You can alter the intensity of the colour by apply it a few time on your lips. It's a prefect everyday shade and is really comfortable to wear and it compliments a dramatic smokey eye well. I hope you enjoyed this little blog update I will Until next time bees - Queen B. Xxx |
